Hi r/hentai, Mars and Jon here, founders of subless. Subless is a new, fair, and easy way to donate to every creator you browse, and we’ve just launched an open beta on Hentai Foundry. We’re doing an AMA here in r/hentai not only because HF is linked here often, but because this is a community that’s supportive of artists they like - which is the type of community we’re making subless for.

Subless lets you set a flat monthly budget for tips to creators, browse the internet normally, and - at the end of the month - have that budget automatically split between the creators whose art you viewed, proportional to how much you viewed them.

We created subless because we both use patreon and have recurring donations to creators we like, and while we’re happy to have those individual subscriptions, we’re frustrated that there are always more creators that we consume than we can afford to make subscriptions to - meaning some creators fall through the cracks. Subless is our solution to this problem: a tool for supporting every creator you see, preventing creators from getting left out.

We’re here to answer any questions you might have, including any about our approach to donations, and to get your feedback on your current experience supporting creators with the tools you use now. We’ll give some time for people to ask questions, and will start responding to ~10AM EST.
